The Scholarship is an annual award presented to a student who is studying with the Open Access College and who lives in the rural, northern districts of South Australia.
Mrs Irene Kenworthy of Kenwyn, Clare, died in 1973 and left a perpetual award to recognize the Year 7 student from the rural northern districts who shows the greatest academic skills and promise.
