Student Pathways Career Awareness Month

Student Pathways and Careers Awareness Month will involve a series of activities and initiatives aimed at helping students explore various career options and educational pathways.

These activities are designed to provide students with insights into different careers, guidance on choosing educational paths that align with their interests and skills, and opportunities to interact with professionals from various industries.

The goal is to empower students to make informed decisions about their futures and to foster a greater understanding of the pathways available to them after graduation.

• Plumbing Try a Trade - Monday, 12 August - Years 9 to 10. This activity is suitable for students interested in learning more about the plumbing industry and the career pathways available. Students will be supported by a trade trainer as they undertake a series of practical plumbing activities common in the trade.
• Adelaide Oval Careers Insight - Multiple dates in August - Years 10 to 12. If you are looking for a career in tourism or hospitality the team at Adelaide Oval has many different career opportunities while you study.
• Australian Nursing and Midwifery Education Centre - Monday, 5 August - Years 9 to 11. Through a trainer-led experience, have a go at manual handling including use of lifting machines and slide sheets, infection control by handwashing and glo germs, take an ECG, check blood pressure, pulse and more!
• Making of Minecraft - Thursday, 8 August - Years 10 to 12. Ever wondered how a game like Minecraft is made? This is your chance to explore the skills and jobs behind one of the world's most popular video games.
• The Future of Beauty Careers - Multiple dates in August - Years 10 to 12. We invite you to our beautiful flagship campus where you can experience exactly what day in the life of a Frenchie involves. You will be immersed in our student life through a variety of sessions specifically designed to inform and inspire your future career opportunities.
