Who is this course for?

This course is for students who have a general interest in sports or recreational activities and enjoy participating in physical activity.

Students are not required to be champion athletes but they must be willing to engage in physical activity and work with other members of the class.

What will I learn?

You will learn a range of personal and social skills through participation in sport and recreational activities. In particular, you will develop your skills in reflection to identify your strengths and areas for improvement in a range of activities.

You will learn to work collaboratively with other members of the class on a group task.

You will improve your ability to critically analyse both issues in society as well as your performance in a range of activities.

How will I be assessed?

School Assessed

  • 40% Practical Exploration - engaging in various sporting and recreational activities.
  • 30% Connections - participating in multiple collaborative activites for a common purpose

Externally Assessed

  • 30% Personal Endeavour - Research driven task about a societal sports issue
