Who is this course for?

The course is suited to students who have an interest in robotics, programming and creating electro-mechanical products. Mechatronics can lead to future career pathways in Electrical & Mechanical Trades, Computer Science and various fields of Engineering, including Mechatronics as a specialisation.

What will I learn?

Students will learn how to design, construct, and test electro-mechanical products. Students will learn C++ code through an Arduino Microcontroller which they will then use to control their electro-mechanical product. Major Product examples include irrigation systems, security systems, automated gates, pet feeders, digital scoreboards and much more. Students will not only develop skills in programming and electronics but also product design using Computer Aided design and 3D Printing. All of these skills will be put into practice to create innovative electro-mechanical products.

How will I be assessed?
