Students will develop knowledge and skills in Computer Aided Design using the construction industry-standard software Autodesk Revit to produce domestic architectural drawings and photo-realistic renderings of their models. Students start by learning the basic operations of Autodesk Revit to build a house model and produce technical Architectural drawings. Throughout the course, students learn about concepts such as Architectural style, building material properties, construction foundations and how house construction can be made more sustainable. As their skills and understanding develop students have the opportunity to apply skills with increasing creativity. All skills learned are then applied to design and model a house appropriate for a real-world location.
