Who is this course for?

Students interested in understanding issues associated with food and hospitality. No background knowledge is assumed.

What will I learn?

You will focus on the dynamic nature of the food and hospitality industry and develop an understanding of contemporary approaches and issues related to food and hospitality.

Food and Hospitality is divided into five topics of which a minimum of three will be studied:

  1. Food, the Individual and the Family
  2. Local and Global Issues in Food and Hospitality
  3. Trends in Food and Culture
  4. Food and safety
  5. Food and Hospitality Industry

How will I be assessed?

You will demonstrate evidence of your learning through the following assessment types:

  • Practical Activity
  • Group Activity
  • Investigation
