Marden Education Centre Library News

All the best to senior school students finishing off lessons and assignments and those gearing up for exams. We are looking forward to getting all your resources back once you finish off. If you need a list of resources out in your name please let us know. We will also be sending letters to everyone later in the term.

Other highlights for the library in term 4 will be the presentation of Premiers Reading Challenge certificates and medals, getting resources ready for next year and working with teachers as they finish off in 2016 and prepare for 2017.

We also look forward to meeting with you at the various events during this term, eg, Come In Days, The Awards Ceremony and Get Together. Library Activities and Storytelling will continue on Thursday from 2pm again this term.

Read for the Record

On Thursday 27 October we participated in Jumpstart’s Read for the Records - the world’s largest shared reading experience. We gathered to learn, laugh and read this year’s campaign book “The Bear Ate Your Sandwich” by Julia Sarcone-Roach. Activities related to the book were also enjoyed. Everyone who participated received a certificate. It was great to be involved in a world wide storytelling event

Don’t forget - if you would like to organise resources for the rest of this term or become involved in one of the library events, please contact us. Our phone number is (08) 8309 3620 or use the 1800 882 328 number and ask for the library. You can also email us at [email protected] and follow us on Twitter @mardenlibrary
